Reviews Revisited: Volume V

Thank you so much to those of you who took the time to fill out my feedback survey – your suggestions were so helpful! And it’s still open if you’d like to take it.  I’ll definitely be incorporating your feedback, starting with today’s Reviews Revisited post. I had stopped doing these posts, but several of you mentioned that you like them, so they’re back!

First – Givenchy Le Rouge in Brun Createur (I have the mini size that was a Sephora 100 point perk; one of the best they’ve had!).

Sephora Givenchy Brun Createur Mini Lipstick

In my initial review, I was very enthusiastic; I have worn it several times now and still really enjoy the formula, but the color is not quite right for me – I don’t know why it doesn’t quite work, but it doesn’t. I should probably sell it (by the way, my blogsale is here & also linked in the menu above) – but I’m not quite ready too yet, I still want to make it work!

sally hansen cuticle eraser plus balm

I initally hated the Sally Hansen Cuticle Eraser + Balm ($6.99 at Ulta), mostly because I felt like it didn’t work as a cuticle remover.  However, I’ve since realized that it’s not meant to work quickly; it’s a daily-use cuticle moisturizer that over time softens and removes cuticles, similar to my favorite Poshe AHA cuticle care (also $6.99 at Ulta, but I got several on clearance a while back – I think they changed the packaging). It takes more than a week of daily use to see results from this type of product, and I simply didn’t give it enough time.  However, I still prefer the Poshe to the Sally Hansen due to texture and packaging.  The Poshe is more of a cream and comes in a squeeze tube, while the Sally Hansen is quite thick/sticky and the container can be quite difficult to open.

mua cream blush perfection yummy I really liked MUA Cream Blush in Yummy in my review, and I’m happy to say I love it even more now than I did then.  I think my skin must be dried now than it was last year, because I don’t find it as dewy now as I did initially. Or, I supposed, the blush could have dried out just a tiny bit – it’s the perfect creamy-emollient-but-not-slippery texture now. And the color is perfect for almost any look – I wear it at least once a week.

If there’s anything I wrote about previously (in a quick review or full review) that you’d like me to revisit in a future “Reviews Revisited,” please let me know in the comments!

*The Givenchy  mini lipstick was a 100-pt-perk I redeemed based on my purchases; I purchased all other products featured in this post. This post contains one or more affiliate links.
