Wet n Wild Fergie Rose Champagne Glow Highlighter Review & Swatches

Wet n Wild Fergie Centerstage Collection To Reflect Shimmer Palette

Wet n Wild Fergie Centerstage Collection To Reflect Shimmer Palette

One of the new Wet n Wild / Fergie Centerstage Collection items is the To Reflect Shimmer Palette, which comes in three shades – Carnaval in Rio, Rose Golden Goddess, and Rose Champagne Glow (which I purchased).   [Swatched of all three are in this post.]

Per G. over at Nouveau Cheap, they are blush, bronzer, or highlighter, depending on your skintone, and can be used wet or dry.  I swatched it wet, and the area of the highlighter that got wet looks slightly different now, but is still useable – it didn’t seal the product.

First, note that this is fairly large product – 11.3g (a MAC blush is 6g, a MAC MSF is 10g).  The packaging is fairly compact and very functional, though (unlike most Wet n Wild products), it is not shrinkwrapped – so be careful to ensure that the one you buy hasn’t been tested!).

The veining in this is very lovely – it’s a really pretty product in the pan.  From the texture, it appears that it is a pressed product, not a baked product (which makes zero difference to me – I just note it because I’m sure some will compare these to MAC MSFs, which are baked).

The texture of the powder is smooth and blendable, but I wouldn’t describe it as silky.  It’s very nice for a drugstore product, but doesn’t quite match up to some of the high end highlighters I have.

As you can see, the color of this is a lovely rose gold. These may be multipurpose products, but I think this particular shade is going to be a highlighter on everyone.  I’m not sure if you can tell from the swatches, but the highlighter has both shimmer/sheen and very, very small flecks of sparkle.  Personally, I prefer to highlight with products that just have the shimmer/sheen and don’t have flecks of sparkle, but that’s just my choice – you might prefer something like this! Still, I love the color of this, so I may end up using it as the world’s largest eyeshadow.

Overall, I think this is worth checking out, especially if you like your highlighters on the more shimmery / sparkly side.  If you prefer a more sheeny highlighter, you might want to skip this one.
