Next up, I have Wet n Wild / Fergie Perfect Pout Lip Color, which appears to be a new lipstick formula. In the tube, it looks similar to the Mega Last lip colors, but the texture is completely different – it has a more translucent look (though it is very pigmented), and is glossy.
I don’t like the packaging – it looks cheap, and since the bullet doesn’t retract all the way into the tube, if you aren’t extra-careful, you can easily nick it when putting the cap back on.
I purchased the shade Ferguson Crest Cabernet, (which was mislabeled D-Vinely Chilled; the labels were actually switched!), which is a purple toned berry. All of my swatches came out more pink than the lipstick actually is; I find purples really hard to photograph! The lip swatches are more accurate than the arm swatch.
I really like the texture of the Perfect Pout lipstick I tried – it was weightless and comfortable. I love the color and finish too! When I wiped off the swatch, I noticed that my lips were stained, so I took a picture of that as well.
I wore this out to dinner last night, and it lasted very well – it wore off over a large meal, but left the type of stain you see above. I reapplied at the end of the meal, and then it lasted until the end of the night – about four hours. I think it could have lasted six.
Overall, I absolutely love this lipstick – it is comfortable to wear, the color is flattering, I love the finish, and it’s long lasting. I’m going to go back and buy more shades!
