Wet n Wild 5-Pan Palettes

G. over at Nouveau Cheap posted a few days ago about some new and permanent Wet n Wild items that are starting to show up in stores. I found two of the items, the 5-pan palettes & balm stains (which appear to be similar to the Revlon and Jordana ones) at CVS, and decided to purchase all of the palettes and three of the balm stains. This evening, I have swatches of all the palettes as well as some initial thoughts.

Spotted: Wet n Wild Baked Eyeshadow Palettes (Holiday 2011 Repromote)

Wet n Wild Baked Eyeshadow Display

Earlier today, I spotted this display at Walgreens. It has two different baked eyeshadow palettes (each comes with a Megawear mascara), and two sets that consist of a Megalast nail polish, Megashield lipstick, and a clear gloss – all permanent products.

However, upon a closer look, it turns out that these eyeshadow palettes aren’t new – they’re repromotes from the Holiday 2011 collection, Bake Off Contest.

Spotted: Wet n Wild Fergie Limited Edition Summer 2013 Collection

Wet n Wild Rereleased 2011 Ice Baby Collection — But They’re Not the Same: A Comparison

Wet n Wild has a endcap display out at Walgreens called the Fan Favorites display. It’s mostly filled with permanent products, but at the bottom of the display, there’s something exciting: a re-release of 7 of the 8 polishes from the limited-edition 2011 Holiday Ice Baby Color Icon polishes.  However, upon closer inspection, I have disappointing news: several of the polishes are different from the original release, and instead are rebottled Fergie polishes.
