After I posted about my new acquisition, Illamasqua Kontrol, I got a couple requests for swatches. So, I’m going to post swatches and a mini-review today, although I can’t fully review it since I haven’t had a chance to test out the wear yet.

First the packaging – it’s absolutely gorgeous. Square, glossy, and beautiful. Love it!  The lipstick itself is really beautiful – super opaque in one swipe and very creamy. It applies smoothly and evenly.

It is a little bit hard to apply evenly to the lips straight from the bullet, but I don’t think that’s because of the texture of the lipstick – it’s because the lipstick is such a bold color, so every mistake stands out. So, I used a lip brush to apply it to my lips. I still had a little bit of trouble applying it evenly, but I think that was my fault, not the lipstick’s.

I can’t speak to wear yet, or to how moisturizing it is, as I haven’t had a chance to test it out fully. I’ll update this post once I wear it out a couple of times.
