This is a scheduled post as I’m visiting family this weekend. I may be slower than usual at approving comments and responding to questions.
The Nude ‘Tude palette comes in either “nice” or “naughty” packaging – both have identical product. I have the “nice” packaging, which you can see above. The “naughty” features naked ladies with the eyeshadows strategically placed; you can see it on TheBalm’s website, here. Like all of TheBalm’s products, the Nude ‘Tude palette is in sturdy cardboard packaging. I’m considering depotting mine, because the eyeshadows are small, and it would take up a lot less room in my makeup drawer if I did!
The eyeshadows are a really nice mix of finishes – there are four mattes (Sultry, Sexy, Serious, Sleek); one is a matte with sparkle (Silly), and the rest are frosts or shimmers. They are a mix of warm and cool shades. I found that all of them except Serious were easy to work with and had good payoff. Serious was patchy and difficult to swatch, but it’s actually not a problem to work with on the eye.
My favorite shade is Selfish, which is a cool, shimmering taupe that reminds me of Nars Lhasa. I also really like Sleek – an very dark, matte brown – and I think it would be a great eyebrow shade for dark brunettes or those with black hair.
|top row: sassy, stubborn, selfish, sophisticated, sexy, serious|
|bottom row: snobby, stand-offish, sultry, schitzo, silly, sleek|
Overall, I really like this palette. I own the Urban Decay Naked palette as well – the first one – and I think that Nude ‘Tude compliments it well, without much shade overlap. What neutral palettes do you own?
