I think that’s everything! It’s a lot of products, for sure. A question – when I post a FOTD with a list of products, would you like me to link to reviews I’ve done of the products, and/or places to buy the products online? Thanks for your feedback!

FOTD: Featuring Armani ETK #24

different lighting conditions – left is more accurate

I went out to dinner last nice, and decided to do a blackened gold smoky eye. I find that a gradient – darker on the lid, fading lighter as it goes up – looks better on my hooded lids that using a lighter color on the lid and darker color in the crease, so a gradient is what I did!  It’s a little more dramatic than the makeup I usually wear, but I love how it turned out!

Here’s the breakdown:

Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation (review) – chin area only
Guerlain Meteorities Compact Powder in Teint Beige (review)
MAC Sculpting powder in Sculpt (review) – to contour
MAC Blushbaby blush (review) – my favorite neutral blush to pair with a dramatic eye!

Eyes & Brows:

Armani Eyes to Kill Intense eyeshadow in #24 Smokey Copper (review) – lid, under first 1/3 of lowever lashline
Illamasqua Neutral Palette (review) – gold shade in crease, under lower lashline
Burberry Trench (review) – to blend & on browbone
Milani Color Play eyeliner in Black Line (upper lashline)
MAC Chromagraphic pencil in NC15 / NW20 (waterline)

FOTD: Following Phyrra’s Urban Decay Smoked Palette Tutorial

Phyrra did a lovely tutorial the other day using the new Urban Decay Smoked Palette.  Here’s my recreation; since I don’t own the Smoked Palette, I’ve used different products – it’s not an exact copy, I used different products, but I’m still really pleased with how it turned out!

Instead of Freestyle eyeshadow, I used the matte off-white from the Wet n Wild Greed Palette.
Instead of Kinky eyeshadow, I used the matte peach from the Wet n Wild Greed Palette.
Instead of Barlust, I used L’oreal Infallible in Bronzed Taupe.
Instead of Perversion 24/7 eyeliner, I used Prestige Total Intensity Eyeliner in Deepest Black.

On my eyes, I also used Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara.

Other products: MAC Sculpt to contour (heavily!), MAC Blushbaby blush, MAC Blankety lipstick (blotted), Urban Decay Lip Junkie in Naked, Anastasia Brow Powder duo in Brunette.

I also – after taking several photographs – decided that adding false lashes would amp up the look some, so added false half-lashes (well, regular lashes cut in half).

I had a lot of fun playing with this look! Do you ever follow tutorials?

Quick FOTD Featuring WnW Cherry Picking

This is from a little while ago, so unfortunately I don’t remember all the products I used. The eyes are MAC Patina, and the lips are Wet n Wild MegaLast Lip Color in Cherry Picking (review) , blotted, and topped with just a tiny bit of Physician’s Formula pH Matchmaker lip gloss in Pink (review).

In the interests of full disclosure, I have mostly-unsuccessfully attempted to airbrush out the giant zit on my chin; that’s why it looks a bit wonky.

Tomorrow: IMATS LA! Will any of you be there?

FOTD: Featuring Urban Decay Half Truth

As you may have noticed from my previous FOTD posts, I’m mostly a neutrals girl – I wear neutral eyeshadow about 95% of the time. However, yesterday evening, I decided to sneak a toe outside of my comfort zone and wear a subtle purple eye.   I’d love to hear your thoughts on this look!

Here’s the breakdown!

eye & brow
nyx hd eyeshadow primer
urban decay half truth – lid
silver from wnw stealing my thunder trio – crease
burberry trench – highlight
inglot 377 – lower lash line
diorshow & majolica majorca lash expander frame plus mascaras, layered
wet n wild h20 proof liquid eyeliner
anastasia brow powder duo in brunette

holika holika peach girl bb cream shade 02
sleek blush in Flushed
mac sculpt

nars velvet matte lip pencil in dolce vita
essence lipstick in creamy nude (lightly & blotted)

Overall, I’m really happy with how this turned out, and I think I’ll be wearing more purples in the future!
